Uploading photos
Upload photos to create a collection of images that you will use throughout your website.
To upload photos in the website builder:
Click on the Photos and Videos tab
Drag and drop the photos into the designated box OR
Click on the designated box, and upload photos from your computer. Select the photos you want to upload from the pop-up file browser and click Open
You can then use these images to update your room types, as well as create photo albums.
General image file format requirements
The supported image formats are .jpeg , .png and . gif.
The maximum file size for photos and logos is 10MB.
Please ensure that the images you upload are no bigger than 10MB or the system will stay idle, which means the images keep uploading but will not be successfully saved.
All images are automatically resized and optimised for performance at the time of the upload. We highly recommend that you upload high-resolution photos for a better website interface.
Image size requirements for specific sections
Uploading images within the size requirements indicated below is optimal to avoid cropping of the image when they are automatically re-sized to fit in the website pages.
The relevant sections of Website Builder have different requirements, which also depend on theme.
Image size requirements for default pages
Images that can be added in various default pages are best at the following sizes:
Top banner:
Homer: 1600 x 600 pixels
Paul Rudd: 1200 x 700 pixels
Ally: 1600 x 600 pixels
Attractions :
Homer: 750 x 600 pixels
Paul Rudd: 750 x 600
Celeste: 750 x 600 pixels
Ally: 335 x 184 pixels
Rooms:
Homer: 750 x 600 pixels
Paul Rudd: 750 x 600 pixels
Celeste: 847px wide
Ally: 1024 x 420 pixels
Awards:
Homer: 300 x 300 pixels
Paul Rudd: 300 x 300 pixels
Celeste: 300 x 300 pixels
Ally: 300 x 300 pixels
Promotions:
Homer: 750 x 600 pixels
Paul Rudd: 600 x 450 pixels

Image size requirements for custom pages or About Us page
Custom pages and the About Us page allow you add to add custom blocks to your page which can contain images at different ratios.
Depending on the chosen ratio, a different width is advised, however this is just indicative as this type of image is quite flexible:
Full image: 1024 pixels
2/3 box used for image: 676 pixels
1/2 box used for image: 508 pixels
1/3 box used for image: 328 pixels
When using the theme Ally , if you have more than one image and select the slideshow option, the images will also have a fixed height depending on their width. In this case it's best to use landscape pictures with a 7/4 ratio. For example if you have in image that is 1024 pixels in width, then it's best if its height is 585 pixels (585 is 1024 multiplied by 4 and divided by 7).
Image size requirements for the Gallery Page
There is no recommended size for the Gallery Page. The gallery page will initially show the images as smaller and cropped in various ways, but these are just sneak peek previews that guests can click on to view the full size images.
Creating a new photo album
You can organise photo galleries by creating photo albums so visitors can see what your hotel has to offer.
If you have several photo albums, you can change the order they display on your website gallery under Website Pages.
Please note: You cannot upload photos directly from your computer when creating a photo album. Upload photos first to create a collection of images for use on your website.
To create a photo album:
Click on Photos and Videos
In the side navigation on the left, click Photo Albums
Click Add Album
Enter Album Name in the provided text field
Start adding photos by clicking Add Photo
Click Save Album
Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to your website
If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website
Customise your website gallery
If you have several photo albums, you can select which ones to display as well as define the order they display in on the Gallery page.
Please note: You must create photo albums first before you can manage the display of your gallery.
To customise your Gallery page:
Click Website Pages
In the menu to the left, select Gallery
Click Add Album to add an album to be displayed on your Gallery page. Repeat this step if you wish to add more albums.
If the pop-up window is empty, then all of your photo albums are appearing on your websiteDrag and drop the albums to change the order they display on the Gallery page
Click Save
Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to your website
If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website
Adding videos
You can add the embed codes of videos you have uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo to create a collection of videos that you will be able to use throughout your website.
Videos in the Website Builder are embedded from YouTube and/or Vimeo, but cannot be directly uploaded from your computer. The difference between embedding a video and uploading a video is that when a video is embedded to the website, the website is only storing the code that links it to the original source (in this case YouTube or Vimeo), whereas when a video is uploaded to the website, it is copied from your computer directly and then fully stored in the website.
To add a video to the collection
Click Photos and Videos
In the menu to the left, click Videos
Enter the YouTube or Vimeo embed code in the provided field
Click Add
If you want to add more videos, repeat step 3 to 4. Only add one video at a time
Once you added a video to your collection, you can then add it to your homepage, About Us page or a custom page.
To add a video to your homepage
Go to Website Pages
In the menu on the left, select Home
In the Homepage sections, locate Promotional Video Banner
Check the box next to Promotional Video Banner to display videos on your homepage
Change the title of the video section if you want to
Click Add video
Select a video
Click Save
Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to your website
If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website
To add a video to your About us page or to a custom page:
Go to Website Pages
In the menu on the left, select About us or a custom page
Scroll down to Add new content section
Select Add video section (You can select between Add video section, Add left video section and right video section, Add left video section and right text section or Add left text section and right video section)
Scroll up a bit to the newly added section and click Add Video in the section
Select a video
Click Save Page
Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to your website
If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website
Adding files (pdf, doc, txt, etc.)
You can add files like .pdf, .doc and .txt into the Website Builder and add links to the files into your website content.
To upload a file:
Click Photos and Videos
In the menu on the left, select Files
Upload a file either by dragging it into the box or by clicking on the box, selecting the file from your computer and clicking Open
Once you uploaded a file, an URL is generated. You can use this URL as a link anywhere on your website.
To link to a file:
Click Photos and Videos
In the menu on the left, select Files
Locate the file you plan to link, and click Copy next to the URL
In the Website Builder go to the page where you want to add the file, for example Dashboard > Promotions > Happy Hour Friday
In the description/text field, highlight the text which should become the link
Click on the link icon (interlocking chains) on top of the text field, and a Link box appears
In the field URL, enter the URL you copied in Step 3 and click OK
Click Save
Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to your website
If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website
