Create a promotional rate for your booking engine. Create special offers such as a non-refundable rate, a direct-only rate, or any other discounted offers. If you want to apply a discount across all your room rates at once, you can do this using a rate multiplier instead.
Create a promotional rate for your booking engine
To create a promotional rate for your booking engine, create the rate in both Front Desk and Direct Booking:
Create the rate in Front Desk
To create a promotional rate in Front Desk:
Go to Front Desk > Setup > Rooms and Rates.
Find the room type and click Add Room rate.
Name the rate (for example, "Special Rate" or "Non-refundable").
Leave Manage this rate independently unchecked so it is based on the standard rate.
In Rate type, select Percentage.
In Difference, enter a negative value (for example, -10 for a 10% discount).
Click Create.
Create and map the rate in Direct Booking
Creating the rate in Front Desk alone does not make it available on your booking engine. You also need to create and map it in Direct Booking:
Go to My Apps > Direct Booking > Setup > Rooms and Rates.
Find the room type and click Add Room rate. Leave the Rate Plan field set to "No rate plan."
Go to My Apps > Channel Manager > Channels, locate and click Direct Booking, then click Configure.
Select Unmapped and find the newly created room rate.
Click Map to Direct Booking to complete the mapping.
