Rate plans and dynamic discounts for Direct booking

Create flexible rate plans to maximise direct bookings and revenue.

Important to know:

  • These minimum and maximum stay settings apply to your booking engine, not to Front Desk inventory or channel rates.

  • Go to My apps > Direct Booking > Setup > Rate Plans

  • Set up room types and rates in Front Desk before creating a Direct Booking rate plan (go to My apps > Front Desk > Setup > Property & Room Settings > Rooms & Rates)

  • Create a rate plan and assign it to the room rates to configure the pricing and restrictions.

Overview

Rate plans are different ways to sell your rooms. You can set unique rules for each plan, like lead time, dynamic discounts or package deals.

For each room type, you can create rate plans that define pricing and restrictions like minimum stay, cancellation policy, and included amenities.

Getting started

  1. Go to My apps > Direct Booking > Setup > Rate Plans

  2. Click Create and fill in the details for your direct booking rate plan

  3. Select the room rates you want this rate plan to apply and click Create

Fill in these details for your direct booking rate plan to create:

  • Name

  • Rate code

  • Description

  • Minimum and maximum stay requirements

  • Restrict rate to mobile devices

  • Lead time

  • Lead time discounts (Early Bird or Last Minute)

  • Dynamic discounts (Stay Pay Deal, Package Deal, or Length-of-Stay Discount)

  • Sell and stay dates

Discount options

Encourage more direct bookings by setting up discounts for your booking engine to offer guests discounted rates (public rates for guests searching your direct rates):

  • Early bird: offer a discounted rate for guests who book a certain number of days in advance

  • Last minute: offer last-minute deals to fill empty rooms

  • Stay pay deals: offer a discount for a specific length of a stay, for example, ‘Stay 3 nights and only pay for 2’.

  • Package deals: a set number of nights at a fixed price

  • Dynamic length of stay discounts: offer a discounted rate for longer stays

  • Early Bird: encourage bookings in advance with discounted rates

  • Last Minute: fill empty rooms with attractive last-minute deals

  • Stay Pay Deal: offer discounts for longer stays (e.g., stay 3 nights, pay for 2)

  • Package Deal: bundle room rates with extra services for a complete package

  • Dynamic Length-of-Stay Discount: reward longer stays with increasing discounts.
