Setting up your map
You can set up your property location under Property location in Dashboard > Property details.
The Website Builder will update the location pin in the displayed map if you search for an address using the Search address text field.
You can also click and drag the pin if the location is not available through Google Maps.
If the searched address shows the correct pin location, but not the correct address format, you can also adjust this manually via the address fields underneath the search address text field.
Click Save when you have updated the necessary information.
Please note: When editing your website, the map displayed in Property details is Google Maps. However, in preview and on your published website the default map will be an open source map. If you wish to display GoogleMaps on your website you will need to have an Google API key and add it to your website builder. For more information on this, please see the section on Google Maps.
What is the Google Maps API Key
By default the website builder uses open source maps on the pages of your website. If you prefer to use Google maps, you need an API key to load your maps on your website.
An API key is a code that is used by Google to track how often the map on your website is viewed. Please be aware that this might incur costs from Google.
You will need a Google Account in order to get the API key.
Google requires you to enable billing with a credit card to have a valid API key.
For more information on using Google maps on your website please see Google's User Guide.
How to add the Google Maps API Key to Website Builder
Once you have an API Key you will need to save the API Key in the Settings of your Website Builder.
Click Advanced Settings.
Click Google Maps.
Paste the Google Maps API Key in the provided field.
Click Save.
Click Publish Changes.
You should now see your map on the Home, Contact Us and Attractions pages. If your API key is invalid or has stopped working, the Google maps will not load on your published website. If you leave the Google Maps API Key field blank, your website will use the default open source maps.

Click on the copy icon beside the API key to copy the key.
You can now proceed to save the API key in your Website Builder.
Map shows on preview but not on the published website
The Google Maps API key is linked to a specific domain. When you preview your website, you are viewing the website through a SiteMinder domain, so the map is being displayed via SiteMinder's API key.
If the map does not show on the published site, this means that there is something wrong with the Google Maps API key you have set up under Advanced Settings > Google Maps. It may be invalid, or has stopped working.
Please review the setup and correct your Google Maps API key to display the map on your website.
If you wish to return to the default open source map, please remove the API key under Advanced Settings > Google Maps and leave the field blank.
