Customise your home page

The homepage is the first page your customers will see when they visit your website. You can edit the various content sections displaying on your website as needed to make the website reflective of your brand.

To edit your Home page:

  1. In the Website Builder, click Website Pages. You will be taken to Home by default

  2. Update the content as needed. For details please check the sections below

  3. Click Save

  4. Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to the website

  5. If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website


Welcome banner

You can change the welcome banner image on your homepage at any time.
To set welcome banners, you will need to upload photos under Photos & Videos first.

Note : Not all themes support welcome banner images. If you are using the Homer theme, the suggested image size is 1600x600.

To change the welcome banner:

  1. In the Website Builder, click Website Pages. You will be taken to Home by default

  2. Under Welcome Banner , click Add photo

  3. Select a photo from your pool of photos.

  4. Drag and drop to organise the photos so that the new photo is displayed first. The photo on the left-most of the display order is your banner photo. Tick the following checkboxes if applicable:

    • Slideshow - this option allows you to display your uploaded banner photos as a slideshow. A maximum of 8 photos will be displayed on your website. When using the themes Homer or Paul Rudd the pictures in the slideshow will periodically change on their own. The other themes have manually operated slideshows instead.

    • Darken Photo - this option will display a darkened version of your banner photos.

  5. Select the Booking Button Display Bar from the drop-down to decide where the Book Now button should appear. You can chose between Display on top of photo , D isplay below photo or **Do not display

  6. Click Save

  7. Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to the website

  8. If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website

Please note: The Booking Button Display Bar will only display if your booking engine is one of our integrated booking engine partners.

Booking engine banner

In addition to the Booking Button Display Bar on your Welcome Banner, some themes also display a Booking engine banner on the homepage.

To customise the booking engine banner:

  1. In your Website Builder, click Website Pages. You will be taken to Home by default

  2. Locate the Booking engine banner on your Home Page

  3. If you do not want to display it, uncheck the checkbox next to Booking engine banner

  4. If you are displaying the Booking engine banner, update Heading and Subheading

  5. Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to the website

  6. If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website.

About us banner

You can rename the About us banner on your homepage, and you can add a text to introduce yourself to potential guests, and attract them to your property.

To edit the About us banner:

  1. In your Website Builder, click Website Pages. You will be taken to Home by default

  2. Locate the About Us on your Home Page (at the bottom)

  3. If you do not want to display it, uncheck the checkbox next to About us banner

  4. If you are displaying the Booking engine banner, update Title and Description

  5. Click Save

  6. Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to the website

  7. If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website.

Please note:
To enable the About us banner, the About us page must also be enabled.


Contact us banner

You can rename the Contact Us banner on your homepage. For example, you may want the button to display 'Enquire' or 'Email Us'.

To edit the Contact Us banner:

  1. In your Website Builder, click Website Pages. You will be taken to Home by default

  2. Locate the Contact Us banner on your Home Page (at the bottom)

  3. Enter Title. The title will show as a larger font title on top of the section

  4. Enter Link label. The Link label will fill the words in the button that guests would click if they are interested in learning more

  5. Click Save

  6. Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to the website

  7. If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website.

Please note:
To enable the Contact us banner, the Contact Us page must also be enabled. For more information on this, please see section below on Enabling/disabling or hide/show pages.


Edit content banners

There are various other content banners that may display on your website's homepage. You can disable or enable these content banners as needed, or set up the content displaying in those content banners themselves.

These content banners are Room type banner, Promotional video banner, Photo Gallery , Attractions banner, Promotions banner, and Awards banner. Please be aware that depending on theme, not all these options are available for setup.

Disable or enable content sections

You can control what contents to display on the homepage by disabling or enabling content banners on the homepage.

  1. In the Website Builder, click Website Pages. You will be taken to Home by default

  2. Locate the content section that you wish to disable/enable, for example Promotional video banner

  3. To disable this content banner, untick the checkbox

  4. To enable this content banner, tick the checkbox

  5. Click Save

  6. Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to the website

  7. If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website

Please note:
To enable the banners for Rooms types , Attractions , Promotions or Photo Gallery , their respective pages must also be enabled. For more information on this, please see section below on Enabling/disabling or hide/show pages.

Add or remove contents within a content section

You can add or remove contents within a content banner to control which of your content displays in those content banners.

  1. In your Website Builder, click Website Pages. You will be taken to Home by default

  2. Locate the content banner that you wish to customise

  3. Enter the Title ( e.g. Local Attractions (for attractions), Accommodation (for room types)).

  4. Make the necessary changes to the content banner

    • To add content, click the box that says Add

    • To remove a content, hover over a box and click on the bin icon

    • Drag and drop the boxes to set their display order

  5. Click Save

  6. Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to the website

  7. If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website


Custom HTML widget

The Website Builder allows you to add widgets to your website. A Widget is an application for your website interface that allows you to provide functionality such as chat, a newsletter or blog feed.
Important: If you are not familiar with HTML, CSS, Javascript, we recommend that you consult a front-end web developer to complete this process as our Support Team won't be able to assist you with this setup.

To add a widget to your homepage only, please follow the steps below.

To add a 3rd-party widget to your homepage:

  1. In your Website Builder, click Website Pages. This will take you to Home by default

  2. Locate the Custom HTML widget at the bottom of the page and enter the HTML code within the provided space

  3. Tick the checkbox next to Custom HTML widget to display the widget on your homepage

  4. Click Save

  5. Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to the website

  6. If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website

Your homepage will now display the new widget.


Change Pages banner photos for the Paul Rudd theme

The Paul Rudd theme as the option to display a banner that links to other pages in the website. These pages can be displayed with background images, which you can adjust to display the photo you wish to present.

Disable or enable Pages banner and add pages to link

  1. In the Website Builder, click Website Pages. You will be taken to Home by default

  2. Locate the Pages banner

  3. To disable the pages banner, untick the checkbox

  4. To enable this pages banner, tick the checkbox

  5. Enter a title for the section on your website

  6. To add a page, click Add page and select the page you wish to link

  7. To remove a page, hover over the page block and click the bin icon

  8. Click Save

  9. Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to the website

  10. If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website

To customise the background photos

  1. In the Website Builder, click Website Pages

  2. One the left, select the respective page for which you want to customise the photo

  3. Switch to the Page settings and SEO tab

  4. Scroll down to Main photo and Add or Change the photo to display

  5. Click Save

  6. Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to the website

  7. If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website


Contact Us page

The Contact Us page will display the address and map you have set up in your Dashboard's Property information, along with a form where you website's visitors can contact you for enquiries. You cannot delete this page. If you do not want to show it in your navigation page, you can disable or hide it.

About Us page

The About Us page is an excellent way to communicate to your visitors about who you are and what do you have to offer them at your hotel. Apart from being a great source of information, an About Us page is proven to improve the Search Engine Optimisation by getting more visitors to a website.
You cannot delete this page. If you do not want to show it in your navigation page, you can disable or hide it.

  1. In your Website Builder, click Website Pages

  2. In the menu on the left, click About Us

  3. Add desired content to the page

  4. Click Save

  5. Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to the website

  6. If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website

By default, a text section is added to the page. You can add further content sections from the options found at the bottom of the page. You can also remove the text section if you do not want it.
You can chose between text, photos and video sections. There are also sections with two columns. When you added one of those, you can select the proportions of each column from the options displaying underneath the section under Choose column ration.

Rooms, Attractions, Promotions, Gallery pages

On these pages, you can chose which rooms, attractions, promotions or photos galleries you wish to show. Please note that you will need to set up rooms, attractions and promotions in the dashboard first, and create photo albums under Photos & Videos.

You can customise which content you wish to show and order how the contents display on the respective page.
You cannot delete these pages. If you do not want to show them in your navigation page, you can disable or hide them.

  1. In your Website Builder, click Dashboard

  2. In the menu on the left, select the page you want to edit

  3. Click Add new

  4. Add the necessary information, such as Name and Description

  5. Click on the Add Photo tile to add photos from your pool of photos

  6. To remove an item, hover over it and click the bin icon

  7. Click Save

  8. Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to the website

  9. If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live webs


Custom pages

In addition to the default pages of the Website Builder, you can add your own custom pages. A custom page can have multiple types of content blocks, like text, images, HTML codes and iFrames.
You can also add subpages to custom pages.


Manage pages

Change the page name, page title, navigation title and URI/URL

You can manage how page names appear in your Website Builder and throughout your website. It also affects how your page appears in search engines like Google.

To change the name of the page:

  1. In your Website Builder, click Website Pages

  2. Select the page that you want to update from the left side navigation menu

  3. Click the Page settings and SEO tab

  4. Enter the new page name in the designated field(s)

    • Page name : appears in the list of pages in your Website Builder extranet

    • Page title : appears at the top of the page after the page is opened

    • SEO page title: When a search engine displays your page as result, it will display the SEO title (among other information)

    • Navigation Title : appears in the navigation menu

    • Page uniform resource identifier (URI) : appears in the last part of the URL link to the page, e.g. mywebsite.com /rooms

  5. Click Save

  6. Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to the website

  7. If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website


Rearrange the pages on the navigation panel

You can rearrange the order of display of your pages on the navigation panel of your website.

To rearrange the pages on your website:

  1. In your Website Builder, click Website Pages

  2. In the menu on the left, click and hold the page you want to move, and drag and drop it to your preferred display order. The website builder autosaves after each move

  3. Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to the website

  4. If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website


Enabling/disabling or hide/show pages

While you cannot delete a pre-defined page like Rooms or Attractions, you can disable them if you do not want them on your website. A disable page will not be accessible anywhere on your website. You can re-enable the pages at any time.

A disabled page will show up in light red in the menu under Website pages.

Likewise, you have the option to hide pages. This means that while a page will still be reachable via direct links or when you enter the specific URL in a browser, but it will not show up in your website's navigation bar. You can elect to show a page again in the navigation bar at any time.
A hidden page will show up in light orange in the menu under Website pages.

To manage the pages:

  1. In your Website Builder, click Website Pages

  2. Locate the page you want to manage and hover over the ellipses (...).

  3. Select the option as needed:

    • Disable page (changes to Enable page if page is disabled)

    • Hide (changes to Show if a page is hidden)

  4. The website builder will autosave after each change . Click Preview Site to view the changes you have made to the website

  5. If your website is already published, click Publish Changes to push the updates to your live website.
