You can set a minimum rate for all your rooms. This feature is optional, but when set, means that users cannot set a room rate price below that value.
For example, if the minimum rate is set to 250, a user would not be able to set a room rate price of 249 or below.

It is not possible to set discounts within Channel Manager to lower the pricing below this minimum rate.

For example :

  • your property has a minimum rate of 90

  • you have room rate called "Refundable"

  • your room rate called "Non Refundable" is set to be 20% cheaper than the "Refundable" room rate

  • on a certain date your room rate "Refundable" has a price of 100

  • on that same date even though you expect the "Non Refundable" room rate to be 80, it will instead have a price of 90, because it can't be reduced under the minimum rate.

Note : discounts or promotions that are set directly within the channels can make the prices go under the Minimum Rate, since the Channel Manager has no control over them.

To set up or edit the minimum rate:

  1. On the top right corner, click on the name of your hotel

  2. Click Property Settings

  3. From the GENERAL tab, under Minimum Rate enter a value.

  4. Click Save

Note: The value displayed will be in your local currency. If you have enabled currency conversion, the value displayed will be in your base currency.

Please make sure that your rates in the inventory are not below your minimum rate as per screenshot below.
