CheKin can be connected to Little Hotelier by using the CheKin app in the App Store.

With the CheKin app, you can automate your check-ins, improve your guests’ experience, and ensure compliance with local laws.


CheKin benefits

CheKin can save you, and your guests, countless hours of work each year by automating many of the manual check-in tasks. It’s a win-win situation for you and your guest.

CheKin can help you:

  • Verify guests’ personal identification documents with biometric comparison software.

  • Customise registration forms and short rental contracts to be digitally signed by guests.

  • Automate statistics reports, police reports, or tourist tax calculation in order to be legally compliant.

  • Send guests a virtual key from your third-party smart lock system, if you use one.

And, if your property is located in certain regions:

  • Collect guest reports and send them to local authorities in compliance with local law.

  • Collect details required for tourist taxes and provide them to local authorities.


CheKin compliance with local laws

In some regions, properties are legally required to submit all registration details of guests to local authorities. CheKin can automate this task and ensure that you are legally compliant as long as your property is located in any of the following regions:

Austria, Belgium, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Dubai, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Slovenia, Thailand, United Kingdom.

💡 If your property is not located in these regions:

  • Don’t worry, you can still use CheKin and the rest of its features.

  • Contact CheKin support if you still need to comply with legal aspects of guest registration.

In the regions specified above, CheKin will help you comply with:

  • Police reports: sending guest registration details to local law enforcement authorities.

  • Statistics reports: providing a monthly statistics report to the government.

  • Tourist tax: informing local authorities about the number of guests who stayed at the property, the number of nights stayed, and of any tax-exempt guests.

CheKin is a paid service with a pricing model that you can find out more about on the CheKin website.


CheKin process

This is how the process works once your property is connected to CheKin:

  1. Your guest books a reservation.

  2. The reservation enters Little Hotelier.

  3. The guest’s details and reservation details in Little Hotelier are pushed to CheKin.

  4. CheKin sends your guest a link to complete their registration process online.

  5. Once the guest completes their online registration, CheKin will manage your required statistics reporting, police reporting, and tourist taxes automatically, and the guest will be sure to enjoy a faster check-in on arrival.


Connect to CheKin

  1. Search for the CheKin app and click on it.

  2. Complete and submit the form to establish a connection between CheKin and Little Hotelier.

  3. CheKin will contact you as soon as possible to create a CheKin account (if you don’t have one already), and then to connect Little Hotelier to their extranet.

  4. You can then start configuring your CheKin platform and customising the fields of the registration forms you send to your guests.

Disconnect CheKin

If you wish to disconnect or turn off CheKin, you will need to close or suspend your account with the app, as per your contract. The app will then inform our team, who will deactivate the connection on our end.
