What is the minimum rate?
The Minimum rate stops you from putting in rates in your Inventory lower this minimum, so its a failsafe from underselling your rooms

Why do I need to enter a description in the property settings?
Your property description will be displayed to your guests on the Property information section of your direct booking engine. The property description allows guests to get a feel for what a stay at your property will be like.

You should cover what guests can experience at your property, its greatest features, and anything that makes it unique. This is where you get to attract potential guests with all the reasons why they will enjoy staying with you! Make sure to add anything that can make your property an exciting choice: its history, amenities, culinary expertise, nearby tourist attractions, and public transport options.

What is the difference between infant and child?
Infants are aged 0-2 years and don't count towards your total room occupancy as they generally sleep in a travel cot. Children are aged from 3-12 and are included in the total room occupancy.

Can I add multiple addresses for confirmation emails?
You can add multiple addresses separated by a comma (,).

Do I need to enable GDPR consent?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a set of laws governing how the personal data of European Union (EU) residents can be collected and processed. If you have guests from the EU, you must comply with the GDPR by enabling it in your settings.

My property is in Spain and it 's asking me for a hotel establishment code. What is this?
Hotel establishment codes are provided by the Spanish police. They are used to identify the properties by requiring them to provide mandatory policy reports, as required by Spanish law.

What should I include in my policies?
Policies are your property’s house rules such as terms and conditions, payment, and cancellation policies. Keep them updated at all times to ensure guests know your property's dos and don'ts.

Can I copy policies from booking sites like Booking.com?
We recommend creating your own policies (which are different from websites like Booking.com) and giving guests flexibility when booking on your website. This could make direct bookings more attractive to potential guests and have them stand out.

Where will my guests see the policies?
Policies are viewable from your direct booking engine and booking confirmation emails.

Your property features and photos will be displayed to your guests on the Property information section of your direct booking engine.

Is there a limit to the number of features I can select?
There's no limit! Select all the relevant features of your property.

Why do I need to enter all my property features?
The more detail you add, the more your property will stand out and potentially drive more direct bookings.

Can I upload more than one photo?
You can upload up to 25 photos of your property.

What are the file type and size requirements for images?
Images should be in JPG, GIF, or PNG format, and no larger than 3Mb.

What is a surcharge?
A surcharge is a cost added to a final payable amount to cover a credit card company's service fees. It is calculated as a percentage of a booking's total balance and is only permitted in certain regions.

Do I need to select credit cards if I 'm not using a payment gateway?
You need to select accepted credit cards so guests can make reservations on your direct booking engine. Not selecting a card prevents you from receiving direct bookings.

How do I process a payment?
If you have a payment gateway integrated such as Little Hotelier Payments, a process payment button will be available on reservations. If you don't have one integrated, you must process payments using a Point of Sale terminal.

If my guest changes the direct booking engine 's language to Spanish, will their emails also be in Spanish?
You'll need to provide translations for the email templates of each of your enabled languages.

Can Little Hotelier automatically translate my content?
Yes, although automated translations can sometimes be less accurate. You can provide your own translations to ensure more nuanced and accurate content. Little Hotelier gives you control of your content!

Are taxes displayed on guest invoices?
Yes, the type of taxes and amounts charged are displayed on invoices.
