Rate plans and dynamic discounts

Create flexible rate plans to maximise bookings and revenue.

Important to know:

  • Go to My apps > Direct Booking > Setup > Rate Plans

  • Set up room types and rates in Front Desk before creating a Direct Booking rate plan (go to My apps > Front Desk > Setup > Property & Room Settings > Rooms & Rates)

  • Create a rate plan and assign it to the room rates to configure the pricing and restrictions. You can then map the room rate to a channel.


Overview

Rate plans are different ways to sell your rooms. You can set unique rules for each plan, like lead time, dynamic discounts or package deals.

For each room type, you can create rate plans that define pricing and restrictions like minimum stay, cancellation policy, and included amenities. Once you assign a rate plan to a room rate, you can then map it to your online booking channels to make it available for reservations.

Getting started

  1. Go to My apps > Direct Booking > Setup > Rate Plans

  2. Click Create and fill in the details for your rate plan, including:

    1. Name

    2. Rate code

    3. Description

    4. Minimum and maximum stay requirements

    5. Restrict rate to mobile devices

    6. Lead time

    7. Lead time discounts (Early Bird or Last Minute)

    8. Dynamic discounts (Stay Pay Deal, Package Deal, or Length-of-Stay Discount

    9. Sell and stay dates

  3. Select the room rates you want this rate plan to apply and click Create

Discount options

  • Early Bird: encourage bookings in advance with discounted rates

  • Last Minute: fill empty rooms with attractive last-minute deals

  • Stay Pay Deal: offer discounts for longer stays (e.g., stay 3 nights, pay for 2)

  • Package Deal: bundle room rates with extra services for a complete package

  • Dynamic Length-of-Stay Discount: reward longer stays with increasing discounts.
