How to digitally sign your Social Collaborator Agreement to enable VeriFactu compliance

Updated today

To help you stay compliant with Spanish tax regulations, Little Hotelier has partnered with Fiskaly, a certified intermediary, to submit invoices to the Agencia Estatal de Administración Tributaria (AEAT) on your behalf.

Before we can do this, you must digitally sign an authorisation agreement (called a social collaborator agreement) allowing Fiskaly to act on your behalf for invoice submissions.

Step 1: Download your agreement

  1. Go to Setup > Property details and register for VeriFactu in Little Hotelier.

  2. Enter your Legal business name, Business address and Tax Information (NIF) to generate and download your pre-filled social collaborator agreement.

Step 2: Get a digital Certificate (if you don’t have one)

To sign the agreement digitally, you’ll need a qualified digital certificate. If you already have a digital certificate, you can skip this step.

Most hoteliers use:

FNMT Certificate (Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre)

  • Choose:

    • “Persona Jurídica” – for registered companies

    • “Persona Física” – for self-employed individuals

  1. Complete the request online.

  2. Verify your identity at a local AEAT office or municipal registry office.

  3. Download and save the certificate on your computer (usually into your browser).

Step 3: Digitally sign the agreement

You can digitally sign the downloaded social collaboration agreement using Autofirma, the tool officially recommended by the Spanish government. Adobe Acrobat and other similar tools are also options.

To sign the document:

  1. Open the PDF you downloaded from Little Hotelier using your tool of choice.

  2. Use your digital signature to sign the document.

  3. Save the signed PDF to your computer.

The signature must be embedded using your qualified digital certificate.

Step 4: Upload the signed agreement

  1. Return to the VeriFactu registration wizard in Little Hotelier.

  2. Click Upload signed agreement.

  3. Select and upload your signed PDF file.

  4. Complete the VeriFactu setup wizard by submitting your digitally signed document to Fiskaly.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to submit this to AEAT myself?

No. Little Hotelier will securely forward the signed agreement to Fiskaly, who will store it in case AEAT requests verification.

What if I don’t want to sign digitally?

The AEAT requires a digital signature for this type of authorisation. Paper signatures are not accepted for this process.
