How to disable a channel

How to disable a channel from your Channel Manager if you no longer want to send inventory updates to the channel.

What happens when you disable a channel

Disabling a channel connection only stops new inventory updates (availability, rates, and restrictions) from being sent from your Channel Manager to the channel. Any availability, rates, and restrictions already sent to the channel will remain, and will still be bookable if not on stop sell. Once the connection is disabled, you will need to manually manage or delete your rates directly in the channel's extranet.

Disabling the channel in Little Hotelier does not automatically:

  • Send a stop sell to the channel

  • Delete your rates from the channel's extranet

  • Close your rates or availability on the channel

  • Delete your property listing on the channel

Exception: Airbnb is the only channel that automatically removes rates when disabled.

⚠️ Important: Availability, rates, and restrictions already sent to the channel are not removed when you disable it. Review them in the channel's extranet, or your property may keep receiving bookings even though Little Hotelier has stopped updating inventory.

Disable a channel connection

To disable a channel connection:

  1. Go to My Apps > Channel Manager > Channels

  2. Find the channel

  3. Click on it and select Configure

  4. Go to Channels Setting tab

  5. Click the Disable connection to [channel name] button

Important notes:

  • Disabling a channel stops inventory updates from being sent from Little Hotelier to the channel for all channel rates

  • Disabling the channel will not send a stop sell or delete the rates in the channel's extranet (except for Airbnb)

  • Going forward you will need to manually manage or delete your rates directly in your channel's extranet. Contact the channel directly for help managing your rates and property listing

How do I disconnect a single channel rate instead of the entire channel?

You can disconnect one channel rate on its own instead of the entire channel, for example, to remove a single rate while keeping the others connected.

  1. Go to My Apps > Channel Manager > Channels

  2. Find the channel and click Configure

  3. Click on the Rooms & Rates tab

  4. Click on the channel rate

  5. Select Disconnect from channel

How do I disconnect Airbnb?

To properly disconnect Airbnb:

  1. Disable the channel first in My Apps > Channel Manager > Channels > Airbnb > Configure > Channel settings

  2. Revoke the authorisation token in the same Channels Setting tab

  3. Or revoke the authorisation token directly in your Airbnb host account

How do I remove a disabled channel from my All channels list?

If you need to delete a disabled channel from your All channels list in Channel Manager, our support team can do this for you. The request must come from an admin user or the main contact for your property.

⚠️ Before you request deletion: Disable the connection in Channels Setting and delete the Little Hotelier connection from the channel's extranet first.

Before you contact our support team, note that deleting a channel:

  • Permanently removes all mapping and data. This cannot be undone

  • Means you will no longer be able to view past reservations from that channel

  • Does not end your contract with the channel. You must delete your room rates in the channel's extranet

If you are reconnecting Airbnb with a different host account: disable the channel and revoke the authorisation token first, then contact our support team to delete the disabled channel.
