Updated over a year ago

💡 Important to know

  • Your property’s Guest directory is located within your Concierge. Your property’s Guest directory is a digital directory, which consists of Info cards containing information about your property.

  • To add a new Info card to your property’s Guest directory, go to Directory > Info cards.

  • To preview your Guest directory, go to Directory > Open directory.

This article explains how to set up your property’s QR code, through which your guests will access your digital Guest directory.

About the QR code

Guests can access your Guest directory by scanning a QR code with their mobile device, where they can then access the information in your directory.

You can print the QR code and place it in guestrooms (the most common spot to place it), or other common areas of your property (such as your reception area, bar, pool or restaurant area) so that your guests will have easy access to your property information.

Download your Guest directory's QR code

To download the QR code for your Guest directory, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Directory > QR code.

  2. To save the QR code, in the relevant language tab, click the Download QR button to save the image to your device. Alternatively, Download a Ready-made printable sign.

  3. Next, print the QR code.

💡If you want to set up a QR code for each active language, you will need to download and print the QR code in each applicable language (this will require some additional steps regarding how to display the QR code).

Display your Guest directory’s QR code

Place your printed QR code as a sign in your guestrooms or common areas (or both). See some examples below of how to display your QR code:

  • On a metal sign — create a metal sign that displays your QR code alongside QR codes to your social channels such as your Facebook and Instagram page.

  • On a 3-sided sign featuring 3 languages — create a three-sided sign to display your QR code in three different languages to give the guest the option to scan the code in their local language.

  • Plastic L style sign — put your QR code on plastic L style sign, which is common for placement on a bedside table in a guestroom.

Set up your Guest directory on a kiosk or tablet

To set up your Guest directory on a kiosk or tablet (useful to place in common areas), follow these steps to set up your device on an Android or Apple device:

Android

For Android devices, we recommend the app, Fully Kiosk Browser. The app is free but has additional paid features available. 💡 Learn more about the Fully Kiosk Browser for Android

Apple

For Apple devices, you can download and use a similar app, or alternatively you can use Apple iOS’s built-in Guided Access mode. Follow these steps to set it up:

  • On your Apple device, navigate to Settings > Accessibility > General > Guided Access.

  • Turn Guided Access on.

  • Tap Passcode Settings and set a PIN. This PIN is to exit Guided Access mode.

  • Tap Display Auto-Lock, and tap Never, so that the iPad will not lock itself.

  • Open your chosen browser app, and load your unique kiosk URL.

  • Triple tap the Home button to activate Guided Access. By default, the top region of the screen is covered by a grey rectangle — the browser controls and buttons under this area will not be tappable by your guest.

    • In the top right corner, tap Start. The Home button, volume buttons, and power button no longer work. Only the Home button can be used for taking the device out of Guided Access mode by triple-tapping it and entering your PIN.

Set the URL address on your device

To set the URL address on your device for your Guest directory, go to Directory > Open directory > copy the URL. This is the URL to set the tablet's browser to.

💡 When copying the URL, do not copy the text that comes after ‘directory’ (?source=app).

That’s it! Your device is now set up to be used as a kiosk. You can then mount the device into your secure holder/stand, if applicable.
