Access room type details
To access room type details:
Click ROOMS & RATES
Click ROOM TYPES
Click on the room type you want to add details
Click CONFIGURE and add details under the tabs: FEATURES, FACILITIES and MEDIA
Add and manage features
You can display your room features like room and bed configuration, the number of bathrooms, room size and room view to attract customers attention to the individual room types.
To add your room type features:
Click ROOMS & RATES
Click ROOM TYPES
Click on the room type you want to display features
Click CONFIGURE
Click on FEATURES tab and enter the following information:
Smoking Policy: If you want to set the room type as Smoking and have already selected the hotel to be smoke-free under Hotel Settings>>POLICIES>>Smoking Policy, then you will need to either remove the hotel’s smoking policy completely or set it to All public areas non-smoking
Room Size: Enter the size of the room. The Units of measurement are set up under Hotel Settings>>GENERAL tab
Room View: Search and select a room view from the list
Bathrooms: Enter the number of bathrooms for the room type
Bed Type Configuration: Allows you to select the type and number of beds for the room type
From the Add Bed Type drop-down, select the bed types you want to offer
Click on the + and - icons to increase or decrease the number a bed type. You can add maximum 10 bed types per category
Click on the X icon to remove the bed type
If you have more than one bedrooms within a room type, then click the link next to "Do you have separate bedrooms(s) with in the room type X?" and add the number of bedrooms, then set up the Bed Type Configuration for each bedroom by following the steps above
6. Click Save
Important: Make sure you click Save to enter all the data. You will lose all the updates if you leave a page without clicking Save.
Add and manage facilities
You can add room facilities like air conditioning, fireplace, full Kitchen, and wireless internet connection to attract customers attention to the individual room types.
To add your room type facilities:
Click ROOMS & RATES
Click ROOM TYPES
Click on the room type you want to display facilities
Click CONFIGURE
Click on the FACILITIES tab
In the Room Facilities search box, start typing the name of facility you want to add. Based on your text, a pre-defined drop-down list with similar facilities appears, select the facility available from the list.
Click Save
Important: Make sure you click Save to enter all the data. You will lose all the updates if you leave a page without clicking Save.
Add and manage images
You can add room type specific images to display your rooms and their most appealing features.
To add your room type images:
Click ROOMS & RATES
Click ROOM TYPES
Click on the room type you want to add images
Click CONFIGURE
Click on the MEDIA tab to view Your library
Your library displays all the room type images under Hotel Settings>>MEDIA>>Room Media. You can upload more images to the room type media from this tab as well
Note: You can upload images in PNG, JPG, JPEG, and GIF file formats and should not be greater than 25 MB in size and 800 pixels in width and 500 pixels in height.Select an existing image from Your library. The blue border and tick mark show that the image is selected and will be displayed on the channel. Click on the image again to deselect it and remove it from the channel
Click Save
Note: To add/edit a room type image caption, you must go to Hotel Settings>>MEDIA>>Room Media
Important: Make sure you click Save to enter all the data. You will lose all the updates if you leave a page without clicking Save.
Note: Deleting an image will remove it permanently from the channel as well as the rooms it is associated with.
