The reservation total delivered by most channels includes the commission charged by the channel. Some channels, however, provide the reservation total exclusive of commission.

This difference can lead to accounting issues when comparing the reservation totals from each type of channel.

To prevent accounting issues, the reservation commission feature adds the channel's commission to the reservation total received by channel manager.

Please note: At present this feature is only supported for Agoda, Trip.com, Expedia and Jetstar. ​

To set up the reservation commission feature:

Click the name of the channel you want to configure, and click CONFIGURE

Next to Reservation Commission Percentage, select Enabled

Enter the commission percentage charged by the channel

1. Click CHANNELS
2. Click the name of the channel you want to configure, and click CONFIGURE
3. Click the CHANNEL SETTINGS tab
4. Next to Reservation Commission Percentage, select Enabled
5. Enter the commission percentage charged by the channel
6. Click Save

The channel manager will add the channel commission to the reservation totals shown in the channel manager and sent to your PMS. This setting can be overridden for each mapped channel rate.

Please n ote : The reservation commission percentage will only be added to the reservation totals that exclude commission (NET rates).

The reservation commission settings can be overridden for any mapped channel Rates with commissions charges that differ from the commission set in the channel settings. If the Reservation Commission Percentage is not Enabled in the general CHANNEL SETTINGS , then setting an override will not be possible.

To configure the reservation commission override:

Click the name of the Channel Rate you want to configure and click CONFIGURE

From ROOMS &amp; RATES click on the Channel Rate you want to setup the Reservation Commission for; and click CONFIGURE

Click the RESERVATION SETTINGS tab

Select Keep Channel Settings to keep the percentage value configured under the general CHANNEL SETTINGS or

Select Override to change the channel settings and enter the commission percentage charged by the channel for this room rate

1. Click CHANNELS
2. Click the name of the Channel Rate you want to configure and click CONFIGURE
3. From ROOMS &amp; RATES click on the Channel Rate you want to setup the Reservation Commission for; and click CONFIGURE
4. Click the RESERVATION SETTINGS tab
5. Select Keep Channel Settings to keep the percentage value configured under the general CHANNEL SETTINGS or
6. Select Override to change the channel settings and enter the commission percentage charged by the channel for this room rate
7. Click Save

The channel manager will update the channel commission to the reservation totals based on your settings.
