Disconnect vs delete Airbnb
There are different ways to disconnect or remove your Airbnb listings:
Disconnect the channel (revoke authorisation) — removes Channel Manager access to your entire Airbnb account. The listing(s) will not be deleted from Airbnb. You will need to manage your listing(s) directly via Airbnb going forward.
Disconnect individual listings — removes the listing (Airbnb rate) from your Channel Manager, but will not delete the listing on Airbnb. You will need to manage your listing directly via Airbnb going forward.
Delete individual listings — deletes the listings (Airbnb rate) from both your Channel Manager and Airbnb. You will no longer be selling on Airbnb. This cannot be undone.
Disconnect the Airbnb channel (revoke authorisation)
When you disconnect the Airbnb channel (revoke authorisation) from your Channel Manager:
If multiple SiteMinder accounts are connected to one Airbnb host account, revoking access in one account will revoke the token for all connected properties.
All listing mappings and channel data will be permanently lost (all channel rates will be deleted from your Channel Manager).
Inventory updates will no longer sync between SiteMinder and Airbnb.
Disconnecting the Airbnb channel from your Channel Manager will not delete the listings from Airbnb. Once disconnected, you will need to manage your listings directly via Airbnb.
Airbnb reservations will still be visible in your Channel Manager.
To disconnect Airbnb (disconnect the channel):.
Go to My apps > Channel Manager.
Go to Channels > click on Airbnb > click Configure.
Go to the Channel settings tab.
Under Authorisation Token, click on Revoke.
Then, in your Airbnb extranet, click on your profile picture to go to your account.
Click on Privacy and Sharing.
Go to your Connected services.
Under SiteMinder (“The Channel Manager”), click Remove access.
Disconnect an individual listing
Disconnect an individual Airbnb listing (Airbnb rate) from your Channel Manager if you instead want to manage the listing directly via Airbnb. Disconnecting a listing will not delete the listing from Airbnb.
To disconnect an individual listing from your Channel Manager:
Go to My apps > Channel Manager.
Go to Channels > click on Airbnb > click Configure.
In the Rooms & Rates tab, find the Airbnb rate you want to disconnect and click on it.
Select Disconnect from channel, then click Confirm.
Delete an individual listing
Delete your Airbnb listing if you no longer want to sell your property on Airbnb. Deleting the listing will remove it from both your Channel Manager and Airbnb. When you delete an individual listing (Airbnb rate):
The listing will be removed from both your Channel Manager and Airbnb.
Deleting the listing is permanent and cannot be undone.
Previous guest reviews will remain on your Airbnb profile.
To delete an individual listing (Airbnb rate) from your Channel Manager and Airbnb:
Go to My apps > Channel Manager.
Go to Channels > click on Airbnb > click Configure.
In the Rooms & Rates tab, find the Airbnb rate you want to disconnect and click on it.
Select Delete from channel, then click Confirm.
💡Note: listings with upcoming reservations cannot be deleted instantly (in this case, they will instead be disconnected and the listing will be on stop sell. The reservations can still be managed in Airbnb directly. The listing will be removed once reservations are complete).
