Once you’ve finished setting up your booking engine, you will need to connect your website within your booking engine so guests are able to make online bookings with you directly. This can be done by linking to your booking engine URL or embedding your booking engine within your website using a widget.

Booking engine URL

  1. Go to Front Desk > Setup

  2. Click on Direct Booking URL

  3. This opens your booking engine in a browser

  4. Copy the URL

Widgets

Widgets are interactive components that display booking options on your website. You can use the Widget wizard in Direct Booking to help you customise how your booking engine will appear.

Types of widgets

  • Hyperlink/button: create a Book Now button that links to your booking engine

  • Datebox/Calendar selection: allows guests to search by selecting their preferred check-in/check-out date, only available rooms and rates will be displayed

  • Property availability grid: displays an interactive grid showing rates and availability for different dates

Widget wizard

  1. Go to Direct Booking > Setup > Integrations

  2. Click on Go to the widget wizard#

  3. Select a widget type from the drop-down list

  4. Preview the widget and copy the code to embed on your website

Example:

5. The first snippet of code will need to be placed on your website in the location where you would like your booking engine to appear. The second snippet will need to be placed just before the closing tag of your page.

Note:

  • If you are not familiar with how to update web pages, we recommend consulting with a web developer.
