Guest messaging in the Little Hotelier mobile app

Read and reply to guest messages on the go using the Messaging hub in the Little Hotelier mobile app.

Overview

If you use Guest Engagement, you can access the Messaging hub directly from the Little Hotelier mobile app, so you can read and respond to guest messages from anywhere. No desktop required.

💡 Messaging hub in the mobile app is an extension of Messaging hub on desktop. Channels, templates, and settings are still managed in Guest Engagement on desktop.

Who can use this feature

Guest messaging on mobile is available to all Little Hotelier customers with Guest Engagement.

Supported channels

You can send and receive messages across all channels connected in Guest Engagement: Airbnb, Booking.com, WhatsApp, e-mail, and SMS.

To connect or manage a channel, go to Guest Engagement > Communication > Settings on desktop.

Access Messaging hub in the mobile app

To open Messaging hub from the mobile app:

  1. Open the Little Hotelier mobile app.

  2. Tap the messaging icon in the top-right of the Home screen.

This opens your Messaging hub inbox. A badge on the icon shows how many unread messages you have.

Send a message

Reply to existing conversations and start new ones from the mobile app:

  1. Open a conversation, or tap New message.

  2. Select a channel using the channel selector.

  3. Compose your message and tap Send.

Available channels depend on which messaging channels you have connected in Guest Engagement. If a channel is not visible, it may need to be connected first. Go to Guest Engagement > Communication > Settings to connect or configure a channel.

To message a guest from a reservation, tap Message guest to start or continue a conversation on that booking.

Notifications

When a guest sends a message, you receive a push notification on your mobile device. Tap it to open the conversation directly.

To manage push notification settings for guest messages:

  1. Open the mobile app and tap on the settings gear icon

  2. Tap on Notification settings

  3. Tap the toggle switch for Guest Engagement: New messages to turn notifications on or off

  4. Tap the Bell icon to enable push notifications to your mobile device, or the Envelope icon to receive notifications by e-mail.

💡 Guest Engagement notification settings can only be managed in the mobile app, not on desktop.
