💡Once you've connected a channel, the next step is to map your rates. To map, go to My apps > Channel Manager > Channels
Map a room rate to a channel
Before mapping
Before mapping, we recommend you create your rooms and rates using the same structure and naming convention in both your front desk and channels. A configuration mismatch can result in overbookings.
To check if your rates are available for mapping, open your channel and look for the Map to <Channel Name> option in the Channel Rate column.
How do I map my rates?
To map a room rate to a channel:
Go to My Apps > Channel Manager > Channels
Click on the channel name > Configure
Click on ' Map to ' next to the rate you want to map
Select the channel rate from the drop-down list in the third column.
Click Yes to confirm "Continue updating channel". This will send rates, availability, and restrictions for that channel rate.
Click Save.
Repeat the steps above to map additional rates.
💡 Some channels have an integration that blocks certain inventory updates. These are highlighted in a red box once you've mapped your channel rate.
Map a room rate to multiple rates
Every channel rate must be connected to a room rate in your Front Desk.In some cases, this requires mapping one room rate to multiple rates on a channel.
To map one room rate to multiple channel rates:
Go to My apps > Channel Manager > Channels
Click on the channel name > Configure
Click the room rate in the second column that you want to map, then select Map to.
Select the channel rate from the drop-down list, then click Yes to confirm "Continue updating channel".
Click Save.
Repeat the steps above to map additional channel rates.
💡 Sync errors may occur if multi-mapped channel rates are sent differing rates or restrictions. Rate configurations for multi-mapped channel rates must be derived and set to Keep rates the same. We recommend you closely monitor restrictions to ensure they are set identically across all multi-mapped channel rates.
Unmap or disconnect a room rate
⚠️ Disconnecting a rate cannot be reversed. Once disconnected, you'll need to manage its availability, rates, and restrictions via the channel extranet. Disconnecting will not delete a rate from the channel. You'll need to delete it from the channel extranet directly.
To disconnect a channel rate from Little Hotelier:
Go to My Apps > Channel Manager > Channels.
Click the channel name, then click Configure.
Click the channel rate name and select Disconnect from channel.
Click Disconnect.
Update a rate mapping
To update rate mapping configuration details:
Go to My Apps > Channel Manager > Channels.
Click the channel name, then click Configure.
Click the channel rate name you want to update.
Select Configure.
Make your changes and click Save.
Re-enable a mapping with updates disabled
When sending updates to a channel, a mapping may become disabled if the channel rejects the updates. To stay informed, enable Channel Manager e-mail notifications — click the person icon in the top right, then go to My Account. You can also monitor your channel and property statuses on the Dashboard tab.
If an error disables updates to a channel, check the error message and fix any issues and before re-enabling mapping.
To re-enable your mapping:
Go to My Apps > Channel Manager > Channels.
Click the channel name, then click Configure.
Click the name of the channel rate showing Updates Disabled, then select Configure.
Review the error message and fix any issues.
Click Yes to confirm "Continue updating channel", then click Save.
