Mapping your rates to a channel
Updated over a week ago

💡 Important to know:

  • Once you've connected a channel, the next step is to map your rates

  • To map, go to My apps > Channel Manager > Channels

Map a rate plan to a channel

Before mapping

We recommend you create your rooms and rates in the same structure/naming convention in both your Front Desk and channels. If not, it can lead to a configuration mismatch resulting in overbookings.

To check if your rates are available for mapping, open your channel and you'll see the option to 'Map to <Channel Name> in the Channel Rate column.

How do I map my rates

  1. Go to My Apps > Channel Manager > Channels

  2. Click on the channel name > Configure

  3. Click on ' Map to ' next to the rate you want to map

  4. Select the Channel Rate (3rd column) you want to map from the drop-down list and click ' Yes' to 'Start updating channel' which update rates, availability and restrictions for this particular channel rate

  5. Click Save

  6. Repeat steps above to map additional rates

💡 Some channels might have an integration that blocks certain inventory updates. These are highlighted in red box once you've mapped your Channel Rate.

Map a room rate to multiple rates

Every channel rate must be connected to a room rate in your Front Desk. In some cases this will require mapping one room rate to multiple rates on a channel.

  1. Go to My apps > Channel Manager > Channels

  2. Click on the channel name > Configure

  3. Click on the Channel Manager Room Rate (2nd column) you want to map and select ' Map to

  4. Select the Channel Rate you want to map from the drop-down list and click ' Yes' to 'Start updating channel'

  5. Click Save

  6. Repeat steps above to map additional channel rates

💡 Sync errors may occur if multi-mapped channel rates are sent differing rates and/or restrictions. Rate configurations for any multi-mapped channel rates will need to be derived and set to 'keep rates the same'. We recommend you closely monitor any restrictions to ensure they are set identically across all multi-mapped channel rates.

Unmap or disconnect a room rate

Once a rate is disconnected, it cannot be reversed. You’ll need to manage its availability, rates, and restrictions via the channel extranet.

Disconnecting will not delete a rate from the channel itself, you’ll need to delete the rate from the channel extranet first.

  1. Go to My apps > Channel Manager > Channels

  2. Click on the channel name > Configure

  3. Click on the Channel Rate name and select Disconnect from channel

  4. Click Disconnect

Update a rate mapping

To update rate mapping configuration details:

  1. Go to My apps > Channel Manager > Channels

  2. Click on the channel name > Configure

  3. Click on the Channel Rate name that you want to update

  4. Select Configure

  5. Make required changes to the settings and click Save

Enable mappings that have 'updates disabled'

When sending updates to a channel, the mapping may become disabled due to the channel rejecting updates you are trying to send. Make sure you enable Channel Manager email notifications if a channel becomes disabled. To do this click on the person icon at the top right hand side and go to ‘My Account’. You can also monitor your channel and property statuses on the Dashboard tab.

To re-enable your mapping to a channel:

  1. Go to My apps > Channel Manager > Channels

  2. Click on the channel name > Configure

  3. Click on the name of the Channel Rate has ‘Updates Disabled’ > Configure

  4. An error message will appear explaining why mapping is now disabled. If needed, fix the issue before selecting ' Yes ' to 'Continue updating channel' and click Save
