💡 Important to know:

  • The booking performance report allows you to evaluate the performance of your property by displaying key performance indicators (KPIs) across your property's reservations.

  • The data used in the booking performance report only includes Channel Manager reservations. It does not include reservations entered manually into your Front Desk.

  • To access the Booking performance report, go to My Apps > Insights > Booking performance

Metrics definitions and calculations

⚠️ Please note that if you receive reservations in multiple currencies, these reservations are converted to your default currency as of the booked-on date.

Our currency conversion rate is based on xe.com.

Room revenue: total room revenue (extras not included). If the report is based on the:

  • Stay date — the total room revenue for the room nights that fall within the chosen date range will be included.

➕ For example, a report for December would include the room revenue of stay nights between the 1st and 31st of December only.

  • Booked-on date —the total room revenue from reservations created during the chosen date range will be included.

➕ In this case, the report would include reservations booked between the 1st and the 31st of December.

  • Check-in date —the total room revenue from reservations where the check-in date falls within the chosen date range will be included.

➕ In this example, the report would include reservations where the check-in date falls between the 1st and the 31st of December.

Total revenue: total reservation revenue.

If the report is based on the:

  • Booked-on date —the total revenue from reservations created within the specified date range and revenue from any extras bought in reservations will be included.

  • Check-in date — the revenue from reservations checked in within the specified date range will be included.

💡 The total revenue report includes any revenue from extras that were bought at the time of booking

⚠️ The report does not show total revenue when filtered by Stay date.

Room nights: total number of room nights that are sold/occupied within the selected date range.

If the report is based on the:

  • Stay date — the sum of the room nights that fall within the specified date range will be included.

  • Booked-on date — the room nights from reservations booked on the specified date range will be included.

Reservations: number of reservations that meet the report criteria.

If the report is based on the:

  • Stay date — reservations that have at least a one-night stay that falls within the chosen date range will be counted.

  • Booked-on date — reservations that have been booked within the selected date range will be counted.

Average daily rate (ADR): average revenue earned for an occupied room per day. ADR will determine how much you make per room on average on any given day. So the higher the ADR, the better!

💡Calculation: total revenue ÷ number of rooms sold (or occupied).

  • The number of rooms sold will be in the formula if you searched by Booked-on date.

  • The number of rooms occupied will be in the formula if you searched by Stay or Check-in date.

⚠️ Some channels do not record the reservation revenue on a reservation. These reservations are still included in the booking performance report, but they are excluded from the ADR calculation.

Average length of stay: average length of time guests stay at your property.

💡Calculation: total length of stay ÷ total number of reservations

If the report is based on the:

  • Stay date — the average length of stay of all reservations that have at least a one-night stay that falls within the chosen date range is calculated.

  • Booked-on date — the average length of stay of all reservations booked during the specified date range is calculated.

Average lead time: shows, on average, how many days in advance your rooms are booked before the check-in date.

💡Calculation: total lead time ÷ total number of reservations.

If a report is based on the:

  • Stay date — it averages the number of days between the booking date and the check-in date for all the reservations with at least a one-night stay within the chosen date range.

  • Booked-on date — it averages the number of days between the booking date and the check-in date for all the reservations made during the specified date range.

Reservations cancelled: number of cancelled reservations that meet the report criteria. If the report is based on the:

  • Stay date — cancelled reservations with at least a one-night stay within the chosen date range are counted.

  • Booked-on date — all current cancelled reservations that were booked during the selected date range are counted.
