Should I use the rate linking feature?
⚠️ Important: The rate linking feature in Direct Booking is only recommended only for properties that use Direct Booking only. If your property also uses Channel Manager and Front Desk, do not use the rate linking feature.
How to use rate linking
Rate linking allows you to link a room rate's pricing to another 'master' room rate.
To link a room rate's pricing for Direct Booking:
Go to My Apps > Direct Booking
Click the Setup tab
Click the Rooms & Rates tile
Locate and click the room rate you want to link to a master rate
Click the Rate Linking tab
Select a Master Room Rate from the drop-down list
Enter a Rate Percentage or Rate Amount
Rate Percentage: Enter a positive or negative numeric value. This will adjust the dependent room rate’s rate by a percentage of the Master Room Rate
Rate Amount: Enter a positive or negative numeric value. This will add or subtract a fixed amount from/to the dependent room rates ' price based on the Master Room Rate
When you make changes to the Master Room Rate in the inventory grid, linked room rates will automatically update as well.
