Little Hotelier has introduced two new features; "tax rate types" and "tax identifiers" to support the tax requirements in Germany


Tax rate type

Users can add a "tax rate type" to the taxes configured in Little Hotelier.

There are three rate options available:

  • Default – for taxes set at the standard sales tax rate of 19%

  • Reduced – for taxes set at the reduced sales tax rate of 7%

  • Special – for other taxes, such as a municipality tax

To access the "tax rate type" field:

  1. Select the "Setup" page

  2. In "Currency and Location Settings", click "Set up Taxes"

  3. Above each tax name is an "Edit" button, clicking it will allow you to add a tax rate type.

  4. Once a tax rate type is selected click "Save".

Tax identifiers

German properties must complete three mandatory tax identifier fields to comply with KassenSichV requirements:

  1. National identification number (Steuernummer)

  2. Value-added tax number (Umsatzsteur-Identifkationsnummer)

  3. Business identification number (Wirtschaftsidentifikationsnummer) numbers are mandatory for compliance with KassenSichV requirements.

To access the tax identifier fields:

  1. Select the "Setup" page

  2. In "Currency and Location Settings", click "Set up Taxes"

  3. Click the "Settings" tab

  4. Once all three numbers are entered click "Save".
