The room rate report in Little Hotelier provides a breakdown of your revenue based on your room rates. This report can help you evaluate how and when to sell your rooms.

How do I run a room rate revenue report?

  1. Go to Reports > Revenue > Room Rate

  2. Search by Stay date or Booked-on

  3. Enter a Date from and Date to

  4. Tick Revenue includes tax so any taxable service charges will be included in the calculation

  5. Click Run Report

  6. Click Export to download a CSV of the summary or reservation data

How are the room rate report items calculated?

This report doesn’t provide total amounts for ADR, Lead Time and LoS.

Room Rate: name of the Room Rate

Revenue: the total revenue of the Room Rate and any extra person charges. Extra items and credit card surcharges are excluded from the calculation.

  • Stay date: includes revenue from room nights occupied within the date range

  • Booked-on date: includes revenue from reservations booked within the date range

  • Taxes: if ticked, tax from any taxable service charge is included (no fixed amount taxes)

Reservations: the number of reservations included in the report that have at least one stay date within the selected date range

  • Stay date: counts reservations for this room rate with at least a one night stay within the date range

  • Booked-on date: counts all reservations booked within the date range

Nights: the total number of sold room night

  • Stay date: includes the number of occupied room nights for this room rate within the date range

  • Booked-on date: includes the number of room nights that were booked within the date range

ADR: The Average Daily Rate for the selected date range

Calculation: rooms revenue ÷ number of rooms sold (Booked-on) or occupied (Stay Date) for each room rate

Lead Time: the average number of days between the booking date and the check-in date for the selected date range

Calculation: total lead time ÷ total number of bookings

  • Stay date: averages lead time for reservations with at least one night stay within the date range

  • Booked-on date: averages lead time for all reservations made within the date range

LoS: the average Length of Stay for all reservations that have at least one stay date within the selected date range

Calculation: total length of stay ÷ total number of bookings

  • Stay date: average length of stay for all reservations with at least one night’s stay within the date range

  • Booked-on: average length of stay for all reservations booked within the date range
