Set up language and translations

Set up different languages and translations for your guest facing booking engine.

Overview

Set up different languages for your booking engine, making your property more accessible and improving the guest experience.

Enable translations

If not already enabled, go to Front Desk > Setup > Language & Local Settings > Translations and click Enable translations. Select the languages you want to offer and click Save.

Set a default language

This is the first language guests will see on your booking engine. Go to Front Desk > Setup > Language & Local Settings > Translations, click the pencil icon next to Guests visiting your Booking Engine will first see it in, and select a language. Click Publish changes.

Add alternate languages

Click Manage languages, select the languages you want to translate and click Save.

Manage translations

Go to Setup > Language & Local Settings > Translations and select the translation language. Click the pencil icon and enter custom translations in each of the fields. Click Publish changes to save any edits.

Guests can then select their preferred language on your booking engine. They'll receive their booking confirmation email in the chosen language, so make sure translations are available.
