Before you start
Manage multi-factor authentication (MFA) settings via your profile (user) icon (top right) > select My account > click Set up MFA/Reset MFA
MFA setup is mandatory within 30 days of first login
You will receive a prompt to set up MFA upon first login, and reminders each time you log in during the 30-day period. You will also see the prompt when attempting to access sensitive guest details or perform certain actions
Only one authentication method can be used at a time (this can be reset any time)
The Little Hotelier mobile app is recommended for MFA as the most secure option
Overview
Multi-factor authentication adds an essential security layer to your account. After entering your email and password, you'll need to provide a unique one-time password using your MFA method from either the Little Hotelier mobile app or an alternative authenticator app. This additional security measure protects sensitive guest and property data from unauthorised access.
Setting up MFA
Each staff member needs their own user account to access Little Hotelier and complete MFA on their personal device.
Authentication methods
Option 1: Little Hotelier mobile app (recommended)
Download the Little Hotelier app from the App Store or Google Play using the QR code below
Log in to your Little Hotelier account

Upon successful setup, you'll see a confirmation message and be automatically logged in on both your mobile app and desktop
Note: If you prefer not to use biometric login, you'll need to use an alternative authentication option.
Option 2: Alternative authentication apps

Google Authenticator
Microsoft Authenticator
Setup steps

Click Next. A QR code will now appear on your screen.

Add Little Hotelier to your authentication app. Point your device's camera at the QR code displayed on your Little Hotelier login screen, or look for a "+" or "Add account" button in your authenticator app to add the code manually
Enter the code from your chosen authenticator app to complete setup
Option 3: Web browser authenticator
Use a browser extension authenticator for MFA:
Open a Chrome browser and search for the Chrome web store
Search for Authenticator or 2! Authenticator in the Chrome web store and click Add to Chrome
Click on the icon and download the extension, then click the pencil icon to edit
Click the plus (+) button to create a new account
On the login screen, click on the "Having problems scanning, manually enter the code" option
Copy the code displayed on the screen
Paste this code into the authenticator extension, then click Next
Copy the one-time code generated by the extension and paste it into the login page to complete setup
Note: For better security, before setting up MFA using a web browser authenticator, make sure you have antivirus software installed and that it’s kept up to date.
