Important to know:

  • Go to My apps > Direct Booking > Setup > Property > Payment

  • Having accepted payment methods set up is necessary for guests to make online bookings through your booking engine

  • Check local regulations before applying surcharges


Streamline your booking process and ensure secure guest payments by setting up your payment methods in Direct Booking.

Credit Cards

  1. Activate a payment gateway to enable automatic deposits for your bookings

  2. Complete security verification by clicking Edit, retrieve a confirmation code from your email and enter it to confirm

  3. Select the cards your property accepts

  4. Add card surcharges if applicable, check local laws to adhere to surcharge regulations

  5. Click Save

Other payment methods

Once you have connected Little Hotelier Pay, you can unlock other payment methods such as:

  • Apple Pay: not available if your booking engine is embedded into a website

  • Google Pay

  • iDEAL: available in Europe (excluding UK)

To set up other payment methods:

  1. Complete security verification by clicking Edit

  2. Select accepted payment methods. Add surcharges if applicable, must comply with local regulations

  3. Update your privacy policy to include other payment methods

  4. Click Save to make changes

Service Charges

To set up service charges:

  1. Set the service charge percentage

  2. Select the service charge type (e.g., per booking, per person)

  3. Click Save to make changes
