Control who receives your Guest Engagement emails by blocking specific addresses and domains.

Updated this week

Control who receives your Guest Engagement emails by blocking specific addresses and domains. For example, you can prevent e-mails being sent to travel agents, group operators, and corporate bookers.

Set up exclusions for all messages

To block a single e-mail address or domain from receiving your Guest Engagement messages:

  1. Go to Guest Engagement > Communication > Global exclusions.

  2. Enter the e-mail address(s) or domain(s) (for example, @booking.com).

  3. Click Save changes.

Set up exclusions for specific messages

To block e-mail addresses or domains for a specific message type:

  1. In Guest Engagement, go to the message type you want to set up (for example, check-in or feedback).

  2. Go to the Sending rules tab.

  3. Go to Message exclusions.

  4. Enter email addresses to block specific addresses.

  5. Enter email domains to block entire domains (for example, @booking.com).

  6. Select a date to prevent sending to reservations created before that date.

  7. Click Save changes.

How global and individual exclusions work together

You can set up e-mail exclusions at two levels to manage who receives your e-mails:

  • Global exclusions prevent all e-mails from being sent to specific addresses or domains.

  • Individual e-mail exclusions only block e-mails for that specific e-mail.

Both types of exclusions work together, so you don't need to add the same exclusions to each e-mail.
