Processing payments

To proceed with the payment, please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the reservation from your Little Hotelier Front Desk

  2. Click on the green ‘Process Payment’ button to open the payment slider

  3. Confirm the final amount to be charged

  4. Click ‘Process Payment’

To charge a different card to the one saved on file (eg. because the guest has walked in) untick ‘Check card on file’ box and type in the new card details.

You can confirm the final amount before processing payment, if you want to update tips, extras, you can simply update the amount and in the Amount field and then add a Note.


Processing refunds

To proceed with the refund, please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the reservation from your Little Hotelier Front Desk and navigate to the ‘Payments’ tab

  2. Find the payment you would like to refund and click on the ‘Refund’ button

  3. Confirm the final amount to be refunded

  4. Click ‘Process Refund’

Please note that refunds may take 5-10 business days to appear on your guest bank statement


Setting up surcharges

To set up the surcharges, please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate in Little Hotelier Front Desk to Setup > Setup Credit Cards

  2. Make sure the tick box next to the card brand is selected if you accept this type of card

  3. Enter in the surcharge percentage you would like applied for each card brand

  4. Click ‘Save’

Please note that surcharges will not be applied to OTA Virtual Credit Cards, as only the exact amount on the virtual card can be charged.


Setting up automated deposits

To set up an automated deposit, please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate in Little Hotelier Front Desk to Setup > Setup Automatic Deposits

  2. Select the surcharge type, eg., Full Amount, or Percentage

  3. If selecting the Percentage or Amount options, enter the amount you would like to be automatically deposited

  4. Click ‘Save’

Please note that automatic deposits will apply to all reservations.

Payments reporting

To see a history of all previous transaction processed through Little Hotelier Payments, and associated bank accounts, use your Little Hotelier Payments Dashboard.
