How to set up a non-refundable rate

To set up non refundable rates, follow these steps:

Step one: create a non-refundable rate in the channel extranet

  1. Go to the channel extranet (for example Booking.com or Expedia)

  2. Create a new non-refundable rate

Note: if you are adding a new rate in Booking.com, select ‘Set up as new rate plan’ when asked how you would like to manage this rate plan.

Step two: create a new room rate

In Front Desk:

  1. Go to Setup > Rooms & Rates

  2. Find the room type where you want to create a derived rate

  3. Click +Add Room Rate under your chose room type

  4. Enter the details for the new rate (name, description, stay restrictions, rates, occupancies and inclusions)

  5. Configure derived pricing

    1. Leave Manage this room rate independently unchecked: so it’s connected to the standard rate

    2. Rate type: select percentage or dollar amount

    3. Difference: enter a positive number to increase the standard rate (by % or $) or a negative amount to decrease it

  6. Click Create

Step three: mapping a room rate

In Channel Manager:

  1. Go to Rooms & rates

  2. Find your new room rate and click Map to Channel

  3. Select the channel and map to the new room rate

  4. Fill out the required fields

  5. Click Save

Set up non-refundable cancellation policies

Remember to set up your non-refundable cancellation policy in Little Hotelier (go to Front Desk > Setup > Property Details > Policies) and the channel (OTA) extranet.
