Manage stop sells for specific channels

Apply a stop sell to a specific channel but keep others open.

Updated over a week ago

Important to know:

  • To apply a stop sell to a specific channel, go to My Apps > Channel Manager > Inventory

  • Close all channels: use the Close Channels setting in Front Desk > Inventory. This will prevent bookings from any connected channels.

  • Close specific channels: use Stop Sells in Channel Manager. This allows you to close individual channels while keeping others open.

  • Stop Sells won’t work if Close Channels is enabled in Front Desk > Inventory. You can only use one method at a time.

The Channel Manager allows you to choose which online booking channels can accept reservations for your specific rates. Giving your greater flexibility and more control over your inventory.

Create a stop sell

  1. Go to My Apps > Channel Manager

  2. Click on the Inventory tab

  3. Select your rates by clicking on the blue Channels button next to the rate you want to manage

  4. Choose Stop Sell from the drop-down list

  5. Select your dates using the checkbox. Uncheck boxes to remove stop sells.

  6. Click Save in the top right corner

Use the Bulk Update tool to manage stop sells

For longer periods or multiple rooms/channels, use the Bulk Update tool.

  1. Click on the Inventory tab > Bulk Update

  2. Choose Stop Sell and select On to apply or Off to remove existing stop sells

  3. Set the From Date and To Date, choose specific days or add another date range

  4. Select the rates and channels you want to update

  5. Click Save

Stop sells in the Inventory grid

  • Orange background: rates with a stop sell on all connected channels will appear with an orange background in the Inventory grid

  • Light orange background: rates applied with a stop sell on some, but not all channels will appear with a lighter orange background

  • Channels: click the blue Channels button next to a rate and select Stop Sell from the drop-down list to see which specific channels have stop sells applied for that date
