What is the Payment terminal?

For customers using Little Hotelier Pay, the Payment terminal allows you to process payments for walk-ins, extras or ad-hoc payments through the Little Hotelier Pay dashboard.

How do I process a payment using the Payment terminal?

  1. Go to My apps > Payments > Payment terminal

  2. Enter a Description and Amount

  3. (Optional) Enter a Surcharge (Amount or Percentage)

  4. Enter the the card details:

    1. Card number

    2. Expiry date

    3. Name on card

    4. Security code

  5. Click Process Payment

If the payment is successful, a ‘Payment Successful’ message will be shown. You can print a receipt and send it to your guests email address.

How do I refund a payment processed using the Payment terminal?

  1. Go to My apps > Payments > Transactions

  2. Search for the transaction and click it to open its details

  3. Click Refund

  4. Enter the Amount (full or partial)

  5. Click Process refund

If the refund is successful, a ‘Refund Successful’ message will be shown. You can print a confirmation and send it to your guests email.

How do I generate a payment or refund confirmation?

  1. Go to My apps > Payments > Transactions

  2. Click on the relevant transaction

  3. Click on Print Confirmation or Email Confirmation

Does the Payment terminal calculate taxes or promotions?

When you process a payment using the Payment terminal, taxes are not added and promotions are not discounted. You will need to calculate any applicable taxes or promotions and apply them accordingly.

What fees are charged for using the Payment terminal?

Fees are charged per transaction and vary based on your country, card network and card type. Fees are outlined in your Little Hotelier Pay activation form.
