Important to know:

  • You need to have a Little Hotelier account in order to use the Little Hotelier app. If you don’t yet have a Little Hotelier account and you wish to have one, contact our sales team.

Navigate the Little Hotelier mobile app

The app has a main navigation menu at the bottom of the screen consisting of four sections: Home, Calendar, Reservations, Closed rooms and Settings.

Home

Home is a dashboard that can be accessed by Admin users and General users with Reports permissions enabled. This section contains:

  • Settings — learn more about the Little Hotelier mobile app settings.

  • High-level overview of your property’s performance and reservation activities. Below are the reports:

    • Today — your property’s Check-ins , Check-outs , Stay Throughs , Cancellations , and New bookings for the present day.

    • Available rooms — the rooms available across five days. (You can scroll across the dates to view up to 14 days of availability.)

    • Performance :

    • Rooms sold — shows the total number of rooms sold within 5 days.

    • Revenue — shows the total revenue made within 5 days. Note: You can view the individual Rooms sold or Revenue data in a graph, and scroll across the dates to view up to 14 days of data.

    • Channel breakdown — shows the number of bookings per channel based on the date/s set in the Rooms sold or Revenue graph.

Calendar

Calendar — which displays the present day’s date by default — features the following functions from top to bottom.

  • Date — tap this and select a past, present, or future date.

  • Today — tap this to return to the present day’s date on the calendar.

  • Add — tap this and select one of the following options:

    1. Add a new reservation — this can also be done via Reservations.

    2. Add a room closure — this can also be done via Closed rooms.

Below the dates are your room types — which can be selected to view potential reservations and/or room closures — as well as the physical rooms associated with them.

💡 Note:

  • To move right or left on the Calendar and see past or future dates respectively, tap on the calendar and drag towards the date you are looking for.

  • Likewise, you can move up and down through your room types by tapping on the calendar and dragging towards the room type you are looking for.

  • To add a new reservation on the calendar, tap and hold on an empty physical room to open a panel that can be used to define or modify the length of stay.
    Reservations

Showing the current day’s date by default, Reservations includes the following functions:

  • Date — as with the Calendar , tap on this in the top left of the screen to navigate to a past, present, or future date.

  • Add — tap this to add a new reservation.

Select a date and a corresponding reservation on Reservations to view its details:

  • status ( Confirmed , Checked in , Checked out , or Cancelled )

  • guest name

  • check-in and check-out dates

  • room type and physical room booked

  • amount outstanding

The following actions are also available:

  • Change the status of a Confirmed reservation by tapping on Check in.

  • Change the status of a Checked in reservation by selecting Check out.

  • Tap on a reservation to check or edit its reservation details, and if necessary, add new rooms, assign unallocated rooms, edit guest details, or update extras.

  • Tap on a reservation and select Cancel to cancel it. ( about .)

  • Tap on the Take payment button and choose either of the following options:

    • Record a payment — record a payment for a reservation that was not made via Little Hotelier.

    • Process a payment — action a payment for a reservation (provided you have set up a payment gateway enabling you to charge guests through Little Hotelier).

  • Tap on a reservation and select Payments and Refunds to process and record refunds.

Closed rooms

Closed rooms displays your room closures in chronological order.

Tap the Add button to create a new room closure at the top of the screen.

To check or edit a closed room’s details, tap on it and follow the necessary steps.

💡 Closing a room prevents its physical room from being booked and lowers its room type’s availability.
