To accept a payment via a digital wallet in the Booking Engine, you must have a Little Hotelier Payments account, must be using the latest version of the Booking Engine, and must require a Deposit (or full payment) at the time of booking. Digital wallets can also be used with Demand Plus.
Digital wallets can only be used via the Booking Engine when a Deposit is required at the time of booking. Card details will not be stored in our system and cannot be used for future payments.
Apple Pay is not available if your booking engine is embedded into a website.

You can enable Payments by choosing a payment gateway and following the instructions.
To set up the payment methods your property accepts in the Booking Engine, go to Direct Booking > Setup > Property > Payment.
Introduction to digital wallets
A digital wallet is an application or online service that allows a payment to be made via a smartphone or device. To accept a payment via a digital wallet in the Booking Engine, you must have a Little Hotelier Payments account, must be using the latest version of the Booking Engine, and must have a Deposit at the time of booking set up. Digital wallets can also be used with Demand Plus.

What type of payments can be made using a digital wallet?
When guests are booking through your Booking Engine, when a Deposit is required at the time of booking, guests have the option to pay the deposit via a digital wallet (you must be using the latest version of the Booking Engine). Digital wallets cannot be used for any other future payments.
When will the option to pay via a digital wallet appear for guests?
Guests will see the option to pay via a digital wallet if it is available in their country they are located in, and when they are using a compatible device with a digital wallet already set up.
How do I enable digital wallets?
💡 For new customers to Little Hotelier Payments , if you are using the latest version of the Booking Engine, digital wallets will be automatically enabled when your Payments account is activated.
To set up the Digital Wallets your property accepts via the Booking Engine:
Go to Direct Booking > Setup > Property > Payment.
Click on Edit and go through the security process.
Under Digital Wallets , tick to accept payments via digital wallets, and if applicable, enter the percentage surcharge.
Click Save.
Which cards can be used with digital wallets?
Customers can add most types of credit cards or debit cards to their digital wallet. Payments via a digital wallet do not have to be made using an accepted credit card from those configured in Accepted credit cards and surcharges.
Can I apply a surcharge to a digital wallet?
Yes, you can add a surcharge for digital wallets to reflect payment card surcharges (the surcharge must comply with local regulations) by entering a number into the Percentage field.
What else do I need to do to accept digital wallets?
If digital wallets are enabled in your Booking Engine, you must add a privacy statement in your property’s Terms, conditions and privacy policy. Please note, your privacy statement must comply with your local privacy laws.
To update your Terms, conditions and privacy policy , go to Setup > Property > Policies > Terms, conditions and privacy policy.
Are there any additional fees for using digital wallets?
No, there are no additional fees for using a digital wallet — the fees are the same as any other type of payment card.
How will I know which payments were made using a digital wallet?
Go to Payments > Transactions tab, click on a certain transaction, and under the Payment details section, you will be able to see if a payment was made using a digital wallet.
In Reservations when viewing a reservation, you can view the type of card that was used via a digital wallet in the Credit card details section (i.e. Mastercard).
If a payment is made with a digital wallet, can I charge it again for future payments?
No, digital wallets are only applicable to a Deposit or full payment at the time of booking. For payments made via a digital wallet, card details will not be stored in our system and cannot be used for future payments. If a Deposit has been processed with a digital wallet for a partial amount of the reservation, you can send a payment request to the guest to ask them to complete a payment using an accepted payment card for the remaining reservation balance. How do I process a refund for a payment made using a digital wallet?
Simply follow the normal process to refund a payment.
