Manage reservations

Updated yesterday

When a reservation is created, a room is held for your guest, preventing others from booking it. Your availability updates automatically and syncs to your connected channels, reducing the risk of overbooking.

Reservations can be created by guests through your connected channels or direct booking engine, or you can create them manually in your Little Hotelier front desk. All reservations past, present, and future appear on your Calendar page.

Search for a reservation

There are two ways to find a reservation in Little Hotelier: from Calendar or Reservations.

  • From your Calendar page: go directly to the reservation's stay dates. This works best when you know the check-in or check-out date.

  • From your Reservations page: search using a wider range of criteria, not just dates.

Understand the reservation ID

The reservation ID tells you where a booking came from:

  • LH: Manual booking created in Little Hotelier

  • BBN or BB: Booking made via your direct booking engine

  • Channel code: Booking made via an OTA channel (for example, BDC for Booking.com)

What else can you do within a reservation

Within a reservation you can:

  • Send your guest an e-mail with the invoice, booking summary, or confirmation

  • Print a registration form, invoice, or booking summary

  • Change the status of a reservation

  • View the reservation on your Calendar

Print a registration form

Little Hotelier provides a registration form you can use as a check-in form. To print a registration form for a reservation:

  1. Go to Calendar.

  2. Open the reservation.

  3. Scroll down and click Print.

  4. Select Registration Form.

💡 To print registration forms for all reservations checking in on a specific date, go to My Apps > Front Desk, click Reports, select Check-in, choose your check-in and check-out dates, click Run Report, then select Print Registration Form.

Change dates or cancel a reservation

Can I change dates or cancel a reservation in Little Hotelier Front Desk?

⚠️ You can't edit or cancel OTA (channel) reservations directly in Little Hotelier.

  • For manual reservations (created in Front Desk or via Direct Booking), you can change dates or cancel directly Little Hotelier.

  • For OTA (channel) reservations, do not edit or cancel in Little Hotelier — the guest/booker must modify or cancel via the same channel they used to book; those changes will then flow into Little Hotelier when sent by the channel. If a channel doesn’t send automatic updates, you’ll receive an email notification and must manually update the reservation in Little Hotelier once actioned by the channel.
