Set automatic deposits for your booking engine reservations.

Important to know:

  • This feature applies only to reservations made directly through your booking engine

  • Deposits are only collected with Little Hotelier Pay. Otherwise, manage pending deposits manually.

Little Hotelier Pay makes securing guest payments easier than ever. Automatically validate credit cards and collect deposits at booking, saving you time and effort.

Set up property deposits

  1. Go to My apps > Front Desk > Setup > Guest Payment Options > Property Level Deposits

  2. Choose a deposit type:

    1. Full amount: guests pay everything upfront

    2. No deposit: no upfront payment required

    3. Percentage: specify a percentage of the total room rate (excluding extras)

    4. First night: charge the first night's rate (excluding extras)

    5. Fixed amount: set a specific deposit amount

  3. For Percentage or Fixed amount, enter the deposit amount

  4. Click Save


Guest experience

Guests see the deposit amount and outstanding balance during booking confirmation.

Deposit messages

Your booking engine displays messages based on the chosen deposit type:

  • No deposit: "Book now, pay later”

  • Full amount: "Pay today"

  • First night: "One-night deposit required"

  • Fixed amount: "(Currency) X deposit required" (X is the set amount)

  • Percentage: "X% deposit required" (X is the set percentage)

Guests see the debited deposit amount in booking summaries and confirmation emails.
